Confession of an Asian StyleHolic

Vogue September issue

The September issue, the edition of “queen of the year” for Vogue publications finally closed it curtains. With only slightly over 400 pages, it is far smaller than 727 pages in September 2007. But according to Vogue publisher, Tom Florio “We’re a profitable book, not as profitable as we were in 2007, but very profitable.”

But Elle, the closest rival for Vogue leading in ad accounts. This is the first time in 2009!

Orait, to all Anna supporters out there, don’t panic. She stills the best. Let just blame the current economic situation, people spending habit and erm… designers refuse to spend on more advertising because people don’t want to spend. It’s all related!

It is not easy to get 400++ pages during this hard time. Praise to Anna. She works hard while in her shades ,Fendi fur coat and that iconic hair!

She is my inspirations.

For the 50th thousand times, I say this again and again. When I grow up, I want to be Anna Wintour.

Please, Please, I beg you to watch this Vogue September issue trailer HD

Sienna Miller for Vogue

Sienna Miller vogue

It is a big boost for my Monday blues to see Sienna Miller on the cover Vogue in red one shoulder Calvin Klein dress. It reminds me of 1990’s when one shoulder is like so big and every designer from Versace in Italy to Sonny Sun in Malaysia comes out with at least a piece of one shoulder. Calvin Klein is the epitome of simple one shoulder. Now it is happening again.

Right: Calvin Klein Collection custom azalea silk single-shoulder dress.

Victoria reduces her breast because of Anna Wintour!

She said reducing her breast size is to fit her role as an upcoming fashion designer. But other sources said, Victoria Beckham chooses to shrink her boobs because she wants to appear in US Vogue.

It is all because of mighty Anna Wintour.

Anna said she would consider putting Victoria on the US Vogue, but told her to lose those ridiculous implants before it happened,” an insider told the Daily Mail.

FYI, the 35-year-old appeared on the cover of UK Vogue last year.

Well, when the queen said so, you should let it go. You don’t have any say, even if you are the riches WAG in the universe!

Vic darling, Vogue US is not FHM or Playboy which bigger is better. It is one of the respected magazines and no fashionista want to see how big your breast is! They just want to see the magical dress, your high cheekbone, protruding collarbone, your stick thin figure so they will find way to be as skinny as you!

I don’t need to tell you this Vic, you know fashion!

Anna who?

Anna Wintour style her for Grammy in A-line black dress and a pea green, knee-length coat but Adele didn’t know who Anna Wintour was until she was summoned to her office!

I read this and I was like what?????????????

This is her explanation: ‘I was in their offices for a fitting, and they were like, ‘Anna wants to meet you.’ I was like, ‘Who’s Anna?’ And they were like, ‘Um… the editor.’ She was really quiet and I don’t think she liked me at first. But then I made her laugh so it was all good. This is not fair. Anna Wintour knows who Adele, put her on April Vogue and she doesn’t know who is Anna Wintour, the mighty, majestic Anna.

Adele

Myself on the other hand, who adore Anna and think it is normal to wear big black sunglasses indoor at 12 midnite do not get any piece at Vogue. Anna Wintour. I am a fashion blogger who create Google Alert with key words “Anna Wintour”.

Do you hear me Anna?

 CuteCarry ‘heart’ Anna Wintour.

Meantime, I’ll keep chasing pavement!

Bjork for Interview Magazine

I am just freeze. I am in a state of emergency when I saw the cover of Interview magazine.

Just look at Bjork. She looks mighty edgy with Jackie O hair, prominent cheekbone ad that mysterious smile(is it a smile?.. well.. this is Bjork anything can!). Assorted and visionaries!  Tyra should consider Icelandic Next Top Model, host by Bjork!

Vogue cover maybe? Anna Wintour please consider! She looks good in Alexander McQueen , I don’t see any reason why she can carry other high fashion pieces!

No Vogue for Rihanna

It costs Rihanna Vogue cover after a hot nude photos of Rihanna and Chris Brown in a hotel room surfaced online.

nude

Fashion and cheap nude photo can never be together!  Vogue Editor in Chief, Anna Wintour took quick action.  She said NO to Rihanna for a cover and a spread in Vogue. When Anna said NO, it means NEVER!

You may see models pose nude in a spread but that was done professionally.  It is for the sake of art. Kate Moss flat chest in Calvin Klein ad can never  be the same with Pamela Anderson big boobs in her infamous home video.

Once again, only Anna Wintour knows what is classy!

Millionaires spending habit

It is so inspiring to read an article from Kimberly Palmer. It is not like reading that so called phenomenal Poor Dad Rich Dad book because each time I try, I catch zzzzzzzzzz because it is DAMN boring!

This is about how Oprah, Bill Gates and the rest spend.

Am I’m spending like a millionaire? Let’s see….

Millionaire

Myself

006

Millionaires can easily delay their need for gratification when purchasing  I can’t imagine delaying to buy that gorgeous TopShop shirt at 50% off.
Millionaires make living below their means painless My skin needs that expensive collagen facial! I am easily dehydrated.
Millionaires are resourceful in getting what they want by carefully timing their consumer purchases Ok… I think I can. I am very resourceful. Like trying each of the jeans before buying one… or two…
Millionaires don’t like wasting anything (especially money); Ohh.. That is so me. I won’t waste my money on cigarette and ecstasy pills.
Millionaire sense of “self-entitlement” is highly minimized I don’t really know what it means. But Anna Wintour is so self entitlement!..
Millionaires spend..depending on what they are buying (think: appreciating vs. depreciating assets  Hugo Boss winter jacket is an asset!

Fat is not healthy – Anna Wintour

This is me; slim (178cm) , underweight (61.5kg) and healthy (really, after a full medical check up)!

036

Anna claims that we are focusing on anorexia and not on obesity.

According to Anna  “I’d just been on a trip to Minnesota, where I can only kindly describe most of the people I saw as little houses,” Wintour said. “There’s such an epidemic of obesity in the United States, and for some reason, everybody focuses on anorexia.”

I am so agree with Anna. Now we can see so many obese people around and all the media did is to blame Kate Moss and the rest of the pack!

This is not fair.

Long live Anna Wintour!

Anna Wintour for Chanel Spring 2009 Couture

Anna proofs that there’s no age barrier in fashion. She is wearing creations from Chanel Spring 2009 Couture Collection and she did it in flying colours! On Chanel runway, young girl quarter of Anna age looks great in Karl Lagerfeld dresses that translate the Zen concept and chic Parisian accent. If you wonder what is on the top of models head, that is a paper flower specially craft by a Japanese stylist, Kamo. It is a white domination which Karl said it is a symbol of optimism in today economic crunch. The couture department really needs a huge optimism boost now, and Anna is an epitome of OPTIMISM!

Who wore it better?

Chanel Anna Met

Anna or 22 year old Ukrainian model Angelica Kocheva? I like both but Anna definitely a winner. Anna shoes compliment the dress. Anna, Anna, Anna!

Anna Wintour 1

Anna is a definite winner over 24 year’s American model Alexandra Tomlinson, thanks to the black tights! Anna, Anna, Anna!

I am obsessed with Anna Wintour!

I want to be Anna Wintour

If I am 7 years old and my teacher asked me what is your ambition?

My answer is Anna Wintour!

Anna wintour

I can imagine what will happen if a very young boy gives that kind of answer to his teacher. The father will force his boy to play soccer, momma will forbid him from open her wardrobe and teacher will recommend counseling!

As far as I concern, there is nothing wrong to become Anna Wintour.

  1. You are the chief editor of the most influential fashion magazine in the world, Vogue USA, even you are not American (FYI, Anna is Brit)
  2. You can have a same haircut since you’re like 16 years old and people will regard it as fashionable
  3. You can wear sunglasses 24 hours a day and people will regard it as fashionable.
  4. You get USD200K clothing allowance
  5. You can command mighty Oprah to shed weight and she failed,  you will not featuring her on the Vogue Cover
  6. Free makeup artist 7 days a week
  7. Fashion show will not start without your command
  8. You refuse to sit next to other fashion editors in a fashion show
  9. You are the source of inspiration for Devil Wears Prada
  10. You indirectly state you hate fat people and all the girls want to be super thin

Look.. it is cool to be Anna Wintour. Check out this wonderful Anna Wintour interview in CBS 60 minutes. You can call her cool bitch!

if you can’t view the video click here

p/s: I watched this interview 50000 times and I never get bored. I WANT TO BE ANNA WINTOUR
